Prior to the meeting President Shields accused Past President Mark Donahue, 1st Vice President Bill Dougherty,  Financial-Secretary Rich Aguilar and past 3rd Vice-President Greg Bella with entered into ‘pre-determined’ and ‘back-room deal’ arbitrations ,which included precise, agreed-to findings and language, with the City and Arbitrator Edwin Benn for our last two contracts.  President Shields stated that he got his information from Attorney Paul Geiger.  These charges were printed in the Sun Times newspaper.

At the start of the meeting President Mike Shields was served with a letter from the State Lodge by State Vice President Kevin Graham, CPD 019 Dist. He was ordered to leave the Lodge as his membership had been suspended and he could no longer act as President.  A call was made to CPD to have Officer Graham arrested.  CPD showed up and when informed of the situation they left without Officer Graham.  President Shields refused to leave the meeting.  Mike then spoke about the park district’s new contract which reduced benefits and increased costs for health care to retirees.  Because it was agreed on by their union, the City feels that the State Constitution’s protections won’t won’t come into play.  The Lodge believes that the provisions of the State Constitutional can not be waved. 

Mike was asked to read the papers that the State Lodge had sent.  He then read the letter to those present.

1st VP Bill Dougherty stated that Paul Geiger was at the last board meeting and said that Attorney Geiger had no knowledge of any malfeasance during the contract arbitration.  A recording was played of the Board meeting and Paul Geiger is heard saying that he has no knowledge of the negotiations because he was not involved with the negotiations.  Paul Geiger denied knowing anything about a fix and just suggested that it could be found in emails between Tom Plines and the City, so Paul suggested to save those emails.

In arbitration  50 officers were given their time back for iod due to Coventry not approving surgeries for their injuries.  They had been charged for their time away from the job by the City and the City wanted them to go on disability.  All 50 officers had their time restored and got their surgeries.

On 19 Feb 2014  there will be bullet resistant vest show at the hall.  Most major vest manufactured will be there.

In Branch 50, Judge Tom Donnelly in out of 50 cases found only 4 had probable cause.  The judge goes out of his way to put on the record that the officers are liars.  He is a visiting Judge and it is suggested that if you are to appear in his court room, go to the second floor and go before the Grand Jury and get an indictment.  The Lodge will have more info for 2014 judge elections.  The Lodge Board voted not to give and money to any politician who voted for "pension reform”.

A member that was indicted for taking police action while on duty and suspended without pay, is back on the job.  The City refused to pay indemnification for this  officer and over was 200,000.00 in legal fees were paid by the Lodge.  Which the Lodge is trying to recover in arbitration from the City.

A phone call with IPRA Chief Scott Ando, former DEA agent.  Our contract states that no officer shall answer any allegation without appropriate affidavit.  Right now IPRA is not providing a copy of a signed affidavit to officers under investigation.  Call the Lodge immediately.  The Lodge wants makers of false affidavit turned over to state attn. as the law currently states,  but the law also states that if affidavits are covered by a contract, the contract takes precedence.  This must be fixed.  Either by state law or negotiations.  

The Lodge won the NATO change of starting time arbitration.  The arbitrator gave the City 90 days to identify those who had their times changed. 

Some review officers were placed on the desk and a grievance was filed, the arbitrator dismissed the class action and held for an individual.  He found that desk, review and lockup are all the same assignments.  The Lodge is reviewing the award.  The City is trying to get rid of the review officer position.  

The City has decided that no veteran will loose any limited duty time for injuries in service to our country.  

It his my understanding that President Shields has been assigned to 018 and will report some time in January after he finishes his furlough.

From the start of the meeting President Mike Shields admitted to not sending the notice to the City to end our contract prior to the deadline in the contract.  Because of this the City’s (Rahm) stand is that we are not eligible for a retro check from July 1, 2012 till June 30, 2013 and now because a letter was not sent by 1 March, 2013 no retro till after 30 June, 2014.

From the Contract

Section 28.1 — Term of Agreement.

This Agreement shall be effective from July 1, 2007 and shall remain in full force and effect until June 30, 2012. It shall continue in effect from year to year thereafter unless notice of termination is given, in writing, by certified mail, by either party no earlier than February 1, 2012 and no later than March 1, 2012. The notices referred to shall be considered to have been given as of the date shown on the postmark. Written notice may be tendered in person, in which case the date of notice shall be the written date of receipt. It is mutually agreed that the Articles and Sections shall constitute the Agreement between the parties for the period defined in this Section.

A motion was made for a vote of no confidence for the failure of President Shields to protect our retro payment by not sending the notice of termination during the contract time frame.  During the discussion, President Shields stated that he was sorry and that State Labor Law has a later date and the notice was sent prior to that date (the local Director of the Labor Board rejected that reason during an appeal made by the Lodge, which is going to appealed that decision to the full local Labor Board).  President Shields also stated that no one from the Lodge Board of Trustees told him to send the notice.  Current Immediate Past President Mark Donahue and current Financial Secretary Rich Aguilar stated that they had informed President Shields to send the notice.  A Board member stated that at the Board meeting prior to the deadline President Shields had informed the Board that he (President Shields) would send the notice.  The member who made the no confidence motion stated that the motion would be with drawn if President Shields would promise not to run for re-election.  President Shields made no such statement.  Others at the meeting said that this is the wrong time to send a message of no confidence in President Shields.  This is a time to stand united in our fight for a new contract.  The vote was taken and the motion failed.

There was a vote on dropping two positions from the Lodge’s Constitution.  Those positions were 3^rd Vice-President and the Financial Secretary.  The amendment needed a two thirds vote to pass.  The amendment failed.

Open enrollment is coming for Health Care.  November 4^th to the 19^th.  You can change your health care provider, change from a PPO to a HMO or reverse, add dependants, or do nothing to keep your present plan. Packets will be sent out and you should receive yours before 04 Nov 2013.  If you don’t get your packet, call (312) 299-5111.

Health fairs are coming to the 19^th District on the 24^th and 25^th of September, the 20^th District on the 2^nd and 3^rd of October and the Lodge Hall on the 13^th and 14^th of October.  Call the lodge for more information and the phone number to make an appointment.  There will be free flu shots given at the Lodge Hall for members on 22 Oct 13, 25 bucks for spouses.  There will be a uniform sale at the Lodge hall on 16 Oct 13 from 1pm to 5pm.

The FBI’s Civil Rights Division is looking into Chicago Police shootings.  Agents are knocking on officer’s home doors and asking questions.  Your response should be, “I can’t talk with you right now.  Please give me your business card and I will contact you.”  Say no more, don’t let him/her into your house for any reason!  If some one else let them in, just show them the door and smile.  After the agent gives you his/her card and leaves, call the Lodge immediately

The Lodge lost the acting Desk Sergeant arbitration.  There are several question unanswered and the Lodge will resubmit this to another arbitrator.

Tuition reimbursement arbitration for late submission of paper work should be in soon.

There will be a town hall meeting for a plan to bring in Squad scheduling to the 12^th District.  This is a plan for team policing.   All team members will have the same dog and sergeant. 

 The Department is looking into a directive so that members in the military won’t lose pay during service to the country.

FOP Meeting 18 June 13

Clinton Krislov has been hired by the Lodge to protect or health care rights for retirees in the Korshak litigation and any other needed lawsuits.  The City is trying to get out of paying health care costs for retirees that don’t qualify for Medicare.  The Lodge sees this as a benefit that falls under the pension protection clause of the Illinois Constitution, benefits that “shall neither be diminished nor impaired.”  Clint will be at the FOP Hall on 20 June 13, 1900 hrs. and again on 25 Jun 13, 1200 hrs, for updates and questions about retiree health care costs.

Contract negotiations:  2 meetings are scheduled for later this month however, the City's lead attorney is out of service till latter this Summer and that is slowing things down No word on pay raises.

The City has a bill downstate that would release it from making payments for pensions and health care.  This will not go anywhere, the State is on the hook for our pension if the City defaults and the pension fund goes dry.  Right now there is a law which forces the City to pay Annual Required Contribution, or ARC, the amount required to pay the sum of the pension plan's normal cost to get the pension fund to 90%.

A law for us to use our station address on Driver's License and ID's is sitting on the Governor’s desk waiting to be signed.  Go a head and use your station address on your Driver’s License and State ID

There is a Health Fair scheduled for 09 Sep 13, 1000 to ? hrs in 016.  This is a free $600.00 benefit to all members.  Call the FOP for more information and appointment.

Any officer that worked with a PPO during the PPO’s training cycle will get out of grade pay.  You will not receive the Daily Observation Report half hour OT.

FTO Facts

Over 200 signed up for the test.

176 took the test.

118 were asked to take the training.

Over 90 said they would.

56 showed up and completed the training.

All 56 were given their first choice of assignment.

None were put on 1st Watch unless they asked for it.

All Districts are now training districts. 

FTO’s were allowed to bid for them.

FTO’s are given preference for additional training i.e. Carbine training and Law Enforcement Medical and Rescue Training (LEMART)

Arbitrations: The 6^th and 7^th day worked during NATO was won by the lieutenant’s union and our decision should be also, as we have the same langue in our contract.  Former FOP President Bill Nolan testified by phone and we expect a quick decision.  Testimony was also heard in the PO’s acting as Desk Sergeants.  The lodge expects a decision by Oct.  We won an arbitration on an IOD, where an officer was out of the car making an ‘el” check and twisted his ankle.  The IOD report was detailed enough to show that the officer was in performance of his police duties when the injury occurred.  Well written paperwork was the reason this arbitration was successful.  Please fill out your reports fully with an eye on getting all the pertinent information in your reports.

We lost an arbitration on the speed of medical payments for IOD’s.  The City took three years to pay an IOD bill and the PO was hounded by a collection agency to pay the bill.  The Lodge is looking to put langue into the next contract to prevent this from continuing to occur. 

Contract: The City has made an offer on health care for active officers that basically doubles the cost to everyone.  No offer on wages.  The Lodge and City will meet on the 7^th, 13^th and 19 of June.

The lodge has given Clint Krislov $50,000 to work on an amicus brief in the Illinois Supreme Court for the Korshak Settlement Agreement, which expires on June 30, 2013.  The Lodge hopes to show that our health care is part of our retirement contractual agreement, which cannot be reduced or impaired.  There is a meeting in the 1st Dist with Clint this Sunday.  Call the 1st Dist for more information.

Senate Bill 6093, which allows PO’s to use their station address on driver’s licenses and license plates has passed in both the Senate and House and is sitting on the Governor’s desk for signing.

If a non-FTO officer works with a PPO during his training cycles, put in an out of grade slip to get FTO pay for the day.  You can’t put in a time due slip as you can’t do a Daily Observation Report (DOR).  Once the PPO is finished with his training cycles, don’t put in the out of grade slip.

FOP Meeting 20 Nov 12

Contract: The City has still not given the Lodge its full proposal yet.  When it does, the Lodge will call in the Unit Reps and go over both proposals.  Then both will be put side by side on the web site for everyone to see.    The Lodge and City have meetings scheduled for 29 Nov and 03, 05, 06, 13 and 14 Dec.

Manpower: In City Council budget meetings, the only concern voiced by the aldermen was police manpower.  The old budget force was 13,500. In this new budget, the number is 12,500.  We have at this time 11,800 officers of all ranks.  The City has hired 275 new officers this year so far.  We have had 579 retirees this year and the City says that it will hire 400 more officers this year and 500 next year.

Pension News: CA 49 failed this past election.  This would have  put new language in pension reform along with a required 3/5 vote majority for passing pension legislation.

The veto session from 27 Nov to 06 Dec will not likely have any new pension legislation.  We Are One spent $385,000 to inform the public about CA 49.  The State Lodge is a member of this group.

Class Action:  We have two suits going on.  The first involves officers who buy time from past jobs with other agencies or military time to get 20 years of service.  They are being denied the premium free health care benefit.  The other is on Light Duty.  Briefs have been submitted and the Lodge hopes to have a decision in January.  

Arbitration: Monday we submit briefs for IPRA taking too long for investigating complaints.  We have over 1000 complaints waiting to be heard and that doesn't include over 6000 grievances for PO's as action Desk Sgt's, also the sixth and seventh straight working days for NATO. 

If you are working in a Dist like 024 or 015 and you are sent to 016 for the tour, even if you get a car and taser first from your Dist of assignment then go to 016, it's still a detail.   It must be put out for bid by the highest seniority, failing to get any bids, it goes to the least senior on the watch.  If that didn't happen senior officer and the detailed officer should grieve the assignment for time and a half! 

ET units 377 and 477 are going to combine into Unit 277 on 06 Jan 13.  They will pick watches and furloughs as one unit.  This will also happen for Units 012 and 013, which will also be combining as 012.  All officers will go to 012. 

Lodge News: Trustee Harold Brown was found to be guilty of violating Lodge rules at a hearing on 16 Oct 12 and expelled from Lodge membership.  Trustee Ron Shogren was also charged but found not guilty.

020 Dist: Watch Bids will be posted on 26 Nov and Furlough picks will be made 11 Dec.

Good News:  In the last FOP News Letter there was a story about two responding officers from the 024th District that were assessed 4k in punitive damages, an officer serving a summons that was ordered to pay 8k in punitive damages and the sergeant that was ordered to pay 10k in punitive damages.  The City was able to negotiate a settlement and the punitive awards were put aside.

The Gold Plan

In order to protect half of our assets, my plan is to put half of our three billion dollar fund into physical gold.

There are many reasons to do this as soon as possible:

Keep city politicians off it (and spending it on their 

projects).

Protect half of our funds from losses due to global financial instabilities from the Euro Zone.

Possible war between Iran and Israel.

Losses due to the Fed wasteful printing of money to keep interest rates low and the financial collapse of the dollar when we’re unable to keep up that rate of printing.

All these factors and more will cause the dollar to turn into dust and take with it most other cash based tools (stocks and bonds).

We must take action now!  This can not wait!  If you have any feeling for the turmoil that is coming, you must take action now and vote for me in order to get the ball rolling on the pension board. 

Talk with your friends about the financial mess that is looming in the very near future.  Whether it’s the city, county, state or world; we have a lot to be concerned about.  However we must act now!  Are any other candidates talking about this?  Do they have a plan?  If so, what is it?  Have they told you what they plan on doing?  My opponents are small thinkers.  You can trust them with your cash, but not your future.  You need to vote and vote for me.  Your future depends on what you (we) do today.  Send in your ballot.  Vote Jans!

Gold is the plan!

The pension fund is our money.  It belongs to us for all the hard work and sacrifice we have willing given to the people, businesses and visitors of this great city.  It is a contract and a pledge.  It’s a thank you from those we have sacrificed our family time, our blood and for some, their very lives.  It is not a piggy bank for the mayor or any of his fifty thieves to plunder when they can no longer tax the citizens and businesses into further poverty.

Petition Challenges

My petition challenges failed at the hearing held at the Pension Board.  The Board found that the petitions had substantially met the Boards requirements.  The challenge for name placement on the ballot was successful.  My name will be second on the list. 

Update: One of my opponents claims to be  endorsed by the Pension Board.  The same Board that heard my failed challenge.  How fair is that?  How fair and independent to you will that board be?

FOP Meeting 18 Sep 12

The meeting started ten minutes after the hour as members were still lined up outside waiting to sign in.  Most, if not all, wanted to be heard on their vote to prevent retirees from holding elective office on The Board of Trustees of the FOP.  There were 500 hundred members or so present at the meeting.  The patio and building side doors were opened so that all who were unable to fit in the hall could hear and participate in the discussion and vote.  The By-law amendment to prevent retirees from holding office was soundly defeated. 

In Arbitration news:  the Lodge won The FTO arb and all involved FTO’s will get paid.  Those members, who sent in their college tuition waivers in via police mail and were deigned, won and will get their reimbursements.  Still waiting for those who were late turning in their requests.  The random drug testing arb was lost but the Lodge is still looking for all officers that have been tested 4 times or more in this year to contact the Lodge.  Use of comp time arb is on going and the arbitrator has asked the Dept for the mathematical formula for manpower in deciding how many officers are given time due on a watch.  Of course there is no formula so we hope to use that fact alone will win the arbitration and get officers the ability to use the time off they have worked for.  Limited duty arb is coming up soon, however there are more than 900 grievances waiting to be heard and the City wants to hear only 13 cases a month.  The Lodge has filed an unfair labor act violation against the City for refusing to hear cases in a timely manner.

Contract News:  The Lodge and City have met once already and the Lodge gave the City the changes we want in the new contract.  The City has not yet given the Lodge it’s proposals.  There is a meeting scheduled for the 27^th of September.  If the City gives the Lodge their proposals, the Lodge will put up on the web, both proposals side by side.  Until that happens the Lodge will not publicly reveal it’s offer.  The Lodge asks the membership to stand united during the contract negotiations.  Four more meetings have been agreed to for discussion on the contract.

Pension News: The Election Day, counting of ballots, will be Thursday, October 25, 2012. Prior to that date affected members will receive their ballot in the U.S. Mail.  The City Treasurer and the City CFO, who both sit on the Pension Board, are looking into changes in the pension rules.  It is very important for you to vote in the up coming election.  I, Kevin C. Jans, will be running for the position of Trustee on the Pension Board.  I hope you will all take the time to send in your ballots and vote for me.

Duty Trade will be expanded from the district to the area when looking for a trading partner.  You must get a minimum of 72 hours prior notice when being deigned time due.  If you receive less than 72 hours, notify the Lodge right away, so you can get your time off.

Free flu shots will be given out at the Lodge on 11 Oct 12.  Fifteen dollars for family members. 

New retirees don’t have to wait for the pension board to get the form necessary for concealed carry.  You can now get the form signed by the unit commander.  Check with the Lodge for gun ranges that you can use to qualify, there have been a couple more ranges added that are cop friendly.

If you are asked to speak to some friendly FBI agents or any one else for that matter that just happens by. DON’T!  Contact the Lodge immediately!  You have the right to an attorney even if you are not the subject of the investigation, YET!  Don’t unknowingly put your foot in your mouth!

A Reminder…this year there will be a Trustee election to fill the expiring positions of the rank of police officer or rank equivalent thereto and for the retired member on the Retirement Board. The Election Day, counting of ballots, will be Thursday, October 25, 2012. Prior to that date affected members will receive their ballot in the U.S. Mail. I will be a full time Trustee.  As most of you know Michael Shields is the current Trustee and also the President of FOP Lodge 7.  I feel that at this time he can’t do both jobs well at the same time with contract negotiations going on and our pensions benefits under attack here and in Springfield.  Now is the time to have a full time Trustee!  I hope to meet with you during my campaign and then my term.  Please feel free to stop me if you see me and ask any questions you might have.

II. Policy:

Department members are responsible for the safety and security of persons in their custody. A person taken into Department custody will be restrained and transported in such a manner as to prevent escape and to provide for the safety of the public, the person in custody, and the officers involved.

V. Use of restraining Devices

C. Arrestee Transport

·  When an arrestee is to be transported to another location (hospital, court facility, etc.) by other than prisoner transfer van personnel, the responsible member will comply with Item V-B of this directive.

a.	An arrestee will not normally be transported in a passenger vehicle not equipped with a protective divider.

b.	Two officers will be assigned when transporting an arrestee.

My comments:

As a Police Officer it is up to you and your supervisor to make sure that you handle your assignments safely and in accordance with Department policies.  You will have to answer to any mistakes you make!  Don’t allow others to put you in the trick bag.  Two officers should be assigned if you are taking an arrestee anywhere and sitting with him.  At least one officer of the same sex as the arrestee should be assigned.

Giardia is a microscopic parasite that causes the diarrheal illness known as giardiasis. Giardia (also known as Giardia intestinalis, Giardia lamblia, or Giardia duodenalis) is found on surfaces or in soil, food, or water that has been contaminated with feces (poop) from infected humans or animals.
Giardia is protected by an outer shell that allows it to survive outside the body for long periods of time and makes it tolerant to chlorine disinfection. While the parasite can be spread in different ways, water (drinking water and recreational water) is the most common method of transmission.
I believe that you my not be able to go home if transportation gets messed up during the riots and you will need a change of uniform. Have you purchased or have a change of turtle gear? How about the other members of your team?

Father Brant will be holding a public prayer for each of these Officers Killed in the Line of Duty, outside the courthouse prior to the above scheduled dates when their killers will appear in court.

The two pension reform bills that past in Springfield, HB-3813 and HB-3815, addressed the pension abuses that never affected our pension fund.  All of our past presidents get their earned pension.  As they have all been the rank of Detective when they retired, that’s the pension they get.  No enhancements for being the president of the FOP.  HB-512 was not brought up for a vote, however the Lodge expects that it will come up again.  Governor Quinn has said that he is against any reduction in police or fire pension benefits to FOP President Shields.

The MD at the medical section is giving recurring IOD officers a list of three doctors to choose from to receive medical care.  The Lodge won an arbitration on this practice.  You get to choose from a list of thousands on the “Workmen’s Choice List”.  Most of who are also on Blue Cross and Blue Shield list of providers.  If you have any problems or questions, call the Lodge.

The City is changing the time for Limited Duty Non-IOD officers to 365 days total for your career, then back to full duty or go on disability.  If this goes into effect the 365 day clock will be set from the day the order goes into effect, no one will have any days taken for past Limited duty days.  The Lodge expects an order to be out soon.  The Lodge will grieve it on the grounds of past practice.  The Lodge has been in talks with the City on this, but the city is forcing the issue.  There are 310 officers on limited duty Non-IOD.

Ret. Capt. John Farrell has proven to be a great benefit to our officers involved in shootings.  The Lodge is adding Retired Detective Kris Kato to help out.  There has been a 25% increase in police shootings this year.

There are several arbitrations on going, one that we hope to have a decision on 02 Feb 12 is the length of time that IPRA can take to complete an investigation.  The Lodge is also trying to get a ruling on what “random” means when it comes to drug testing, as there have been times in the past that it wasn’t so “random”.  Remember starting 01 Jan 12, all officers will be given a breath test as part of the drug testing procedure.  See appendix T in the contract for more info on alcohol testing.

The number of training districts arbitration was lost.  FTOs who had a grievance in concerning their status lost with this ruling.  The Lodge also lost the ET’s starting time grievance.  Military personal will be able to change their day off group for training, check with the Lodge for more info.  5^th period furlo was to be heard on 18 Jan 12, but the date has been cancelled.  The Lodge has no problem having officers work during their furlo, but pay them time and a half.  Don’t close furlo periods just to prevent officers from receiving what’s due to them.

Station closings: The 19^th Dist and 23^rd Dist are slated to be

combined.If they do, there are no plans to send any of the 

officers from 19^th Dist to the 20^th Dist.  Before any Dist is 

closed, it must be approved by the City Council.  

 There is no such bill in the Council at this time.

5th period furlos, the City has not yet contacted the Lodge about 

canceling any or all of 5^th period.  At this time members will be 

able to select 5^th period furlo segments.  Any changes will be 

immediately posted when the Lodge receives them.  Please 

check the Lodge’s web site and sign up for the email blasts.

If you haven’t heard, lockup keepers were given a 60-day 

notice letter about being replaced in the lockup by civilian 

personnel.  This is required by the contract.  This does not 

mean that in 60 days they will be replaced.  That’s the quickest 

they could be replaced if there were trained civilians ready to 

work in the lockups.  There are no classes for civilian lockup 

keepers at this time.  An officer from central detention claims

to have heard that a class will be starting on the 7th of November.

  I have no idea on how long the classes are.  Any bid lockup officer

that is replaced by a civilian will keep an inside position.  If your 

lockup is closed and you have a bid lockup position you lose your 

bid spot and can be returned to the street.  This is an arbitration 

that the Lodge lost some 20 years ago.  The City is meeting with

the Lodge on 19 Oct to talk about this.  Keep an eye on the Lodge 

website for the latest news.

Some officers that have attended G8-NATO training have been 

told that because we can’t use our riot helmets and gas masks 

together, because you can’t lower the clear face mask on the 

helmet over the gas mask, that they would have to buy a $300.00 

new helmet.  NOT SO.  The Lodge will be contacting the training

officers about this.

The Lodge has just finished arbitration hearings over “random” 

urine testing and is waiting for the Arbitrator’s decision.  Look 

for the results on the Lodge’s web site.

Pension News: Fall Veto Session begins Tuesday, Oct. 25, and 

there are 2 bills of importance to us: SB-512 and HB-3827.   

HB-3827 will gut our representation on the pension board.  

 This must be defeated.  Call your state rep.  Find your rep’s 

phone number and email at www.elections.state.il.us 

SB-512 will lower pension benefits to all current 

members if at the last minute we are included.  Right now we 

are not included.

Time now for Open Enrollment for medical plans.  

 Remember to sign up again for flexible spending.   

You have to do this every open enrollment period.  

 Also there is only 1 HMO plan this year.  Check the Lodge’s 

web site for Health Fairs at some of the Dusts.

If an FBI or IPRA agent stops you or knocks on your front 

door to “talk” to you about some incident you may have 

witnessed and they have a few quick questions they would like 

to ask, DON’T.  Make sure you politely get their contact 

information and tell them you will get in touch with them. 

Immediately call the Lodge and get a lawyer, don’t answer 

any question without one.  It is your Right! Contact the Lodge.
